It has been a while since Telugu moviegoers witnessed a youthful romantic drama with relatable characters and this upcoming Friday release ‘Baby’ appears to fall into that category. The small-budgeted film has been making a lot of waves for so many reasons.
Firstly, the project is backed by director Sai Razesh who delivered a crowd-pleasing blockbuster with his previous outing Colour Photo. Renowned publicist turned producer SKN behind this film which is why it garnered good buzz since its launch.
The chartbuster first single Oh Rendu Prema Meghaalila which emerged as an instant earworm is the first instance when the movie grabbed the attention of moviegoers. The soulful melody clocked millions of views and set up high expectations for the film. This was followed by another two songs which received a decent response from music lovers and furthered the hype on the film. Composer Vijay Bulganin did a fabulous job with his music score.
The recently released trailer doubled the hype on the film as it got a tremendous response from all quarters. The trailer drops enough hints that Baby is going to be a new-age romantic fare with authentic narration and realistic characters. The hard-hitting dialogues between the leading lady and the two heroes struck a chord with the younger generation audience.
Ever since the launch of the trailer, the anticipation for the film among moviegoers reached a new high. All these positive aspects along with innovative promotions are helping the pre-sales big time.
The lead actress Vaishnavi Chaitanya hogged the limelight with her intense and soul-stirring performance in the trailer. She was a sensation on the small screen with a good following on Instagram and other social media platforms. Her mature performance on the big screen is said to be a major asset for the film. She plays the role of a village girl who transforms into a stylish modern girl after enrolling in a city college.
Anand Devarakonda and Viraj Ashwin are the lead actors in the film. They too impressed with their emotional performances in the trailer.
The makers are very confident about the output of the film. So, they have decided to screen paid premieres ahead of the film’s release. The advance sales in all territories are very promising. It looks like the film is going to open well in all areas. So, if it manages to secure positive word of mouth and encouraging talk, there is no doubt that the first weekend numbers will be phenomenal.
