Since then, there is no information about Vamsi’s whereabouts. The police investigation revealed that there are more than 70 people involved in this attack. According to police, on February 19 last year, the followers of the then local MLA Vamsi attacked the TDP office in Gannavaram.

A car in the TDP office premises was set on fire and the office equipment was destroyed. Earlier two days ago MLA Vamsi made personal criticisms of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and party general secretary Lokesh. When the angry TDP activists assembled in their office to protest, they were attacked.

Vamsi’s followers tried to attack the house of TDP secretary Donthu Chinna, but as there was no one there, they retreated. The party office was attacked in the evening. TDP and YSRCP ranks were also deployed on both sides of the Chennai- Kolkata national highway in the wake of the attack at the TDP office.

Near the local Apsara Theatre, both sides attacked each other with stones and sticks. Alert police dispersed both sides. In the process, there was more tension on the highway. Later, under the leadership of Telugu Women’s State General Secretary Mulpuri Sai Kalyani, TDP leaders protested on the highway.
