The Supreme Court of India has showcased its distress on the Telangana CBI wing for its slow process in the sensational murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy. The Justice bench has directed the CBI with a new set of advice.
The Apex Court of India made some comments on the CBI when the petitioner Tulasamma, the wife of one accused approached the court asking for a change in the Investigation Officer as she has some doubts about the way he is interrogating. The jury then asked the CBI how long it would take to solve this case. The bench felt that the progress has been slow and directed the higher officials to change or transfer main investigation officers if needed to finish off this case to get the real culprits and their motives behind this cold-blooded murder.
The ex-MP of Congress, YS Vivekananda Reddy was murdered in 2019 with an axe and his brother’s son YS Jagan who assumed power immediately formed an SIT. However, there was no progress even after a year and the daughter of Viveka, Sunitha approached the Supreme Court of India and got the case transferred to the CBI of Telangana in 2021. Until now, the officers grilled many people including the main accused YS Avinash Reddy, and his father Bhaskar Reddy. Since the SC took the case seriously, we might see progress soon.
