Hyderabad: Producer and FDC Chairman Dil Raju stated that discussions on increasing wages for film workers are still underway. He said talks between producers and federation leaders will continue over the next few rounds, and producers are willing to raise wages if work conditions are agreed upon.
“The federation has been demanding a wage hike in recent days. However, certain conditions from previous agreements in 2018 and 2022 have not been implemented and need to be addressed first. Additional conditions have also been highlighted. Once all unions in the federation discuss these and a final decision is reached, producers are ready to offer a percentage-based wage increase for workers earning below ₹2,000 and a different percentage for those above. In the nearly four-hour-long meeting, all points were discussed, and talks are progressing positively,” Dil Raju said.
