After losing last year’s elections miserably, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is currently facing many challenges in Andhra Pradesh state politics. At this time, the internal differences related to the party have become more of a headache. Especially in the Jaggayyapet constituency, the factional war between the YSRCP leaders has reached a fever pitch.
Due to this, the situation of the party is becoming more complicated. A preparatory meeting was held in Jaggayyapet. When YSRCP key leader Manohar arrived late for this meeting, constituency in-charge Tanniru Nageswara Rao unveiled a poster related to a program. This has sparked a dispute between the two groups. This led to a clash between the two groups.
Vinod, a member of Manohar’s faction, was attacked by Tannir Nageswara Rao’s faction. The leaders of his faction say that Nageswara Rao unveiled this poster because Manohar arrived late for the meeting. Manohar became serious about it. During this, Manohar confronted Ravi, a follower of Nageswara Rao, asking why he was removed from the WhatsApp group.
At the same time, Thaneeru’s followers attacked Vinod, who was next to Manohar. The incident led to a heated argument between the two groups. Later, the matter reached the police station. There was a high tension in Jaggayyapet due to the factionalism of these two leaders. The differences between the Manohar faction and the Nageswara Rao faction have reached their peak for some time now.
The local cadre says that since the leaders of the YSRCP in Jaggayyapet constituency have split into two factions, no program called by the high command can be made very successful. Activists deplore that the differences between these two factions are damaging the party. They say that no matter what program the party leadership takes up, one faction does not go to the other without joining the other faction.
For some time now, there has been a campaign that activists are leaving the YCP due to the clash between these two groups. Even now, activists are demanding that the YCP high command resolve the Jaggayyapet constituency without any class differences.
