Stating that he wanted to know why the deadline of the commission investigating the Kaleshwaram irregularities was extended so many times, BJP MP Etela Rajender wondered whether this commission formed for the benefit of the people or for blackmail?
He said that he has not yet received notices from the Justice PC Ghosh, who is conducting inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project irregularities and stated that he will respond after getting the full details and taking the party’s permission. However, he warned that by giving him notices, Revanth Reddy would be landed in trouble.
The former finance minister in KCR’s government said that he would explain the decisions taken by KCR and all the events of that time, and reminded that those who worked with him as ministers are now in the Congress party. Does the Chief Minister not know what happened to Tummala Nageswara Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao and Kadiyam Srihari?, he asked.
He recalled that Ramakrishna Rao, who was the secretary of that department when he was the finance minister, is currently the chief secretary of the government. However, he said that in this investigation, high-level engineers with technical knowledge have already stated that they acted on KCR’s orders and that they were not involved in it.
So what else do they have to say?, Rajender asked. However, he said that he would respond after seeing the notices. He said that anyone who worked as ministers during the BRS regime and was in the Congress should have told Revanth Reddy what KCR’s decisions were.
He said that a cabinet sub-committee was formed during KCR’s rule, in which he, Tummala, Kadiyam, Harish Rao and Indrakaran Reddy were present. He said that he would later explain to the media what happened while his cabinet sub-committee was in place.
Rajender reminded that he is not afraid of notices and cases, and that the entire Telangana society has seen how he fought with KCR for six months in the days when everyone was afraid to have a dispute with him. He made it clear that he would hold a press meet and say everything he had to say on the notices issue.
