AP Deputy Speaker Raghuramakrishna Raju was elected to the Assembly as a TDP candidate in the last year’s elections after several dramatic political developments, and despite hoping for a ministerial berth, he had to settle for the post of Deputy Speaker. However, whenever he got the opportunity, he kept expressing his interest in the ministerial berth.
He kept expressing his strong desire to join the cabinet. In fact, he tried very hard to contest as an MP again from Narasarapuram. Without saying that there was a party, if the seat was allotted to anyone in the TDP, BJP, and Jana Sena during the alliance, he was ready to contest as that party’s candidate.
However, the pro-YCP factions in the BJP were able to prevent Raghuramakrishna Raju from becoming a candidate even though the seat was allotted to their party. They unexpectedly brought Srinivasa Varma to the fore. With that, everyone expected that he would be able to join the cabinet with a crucial portfolio when he contested the Assembly as a TDP candidate.
But due to various equations, it was not possible. Raghurama, who recently participated in the TANA meetings held in USA, said that if he is given the Home Ministry, he will take action against the anarchists according to his ‘blood book’. He also expressed his thoughts on the Health Ministry.
When asked in the TANA meeting which department he would take if he gets the opportunity to become a minister for one day, he expressed his wish in his heart. “If all the MLAs are given a chance to be the state minister for one day, I will want the home ministry. I will need 8 hours of time that day”, he said.
“If possible, I will want two ministries in one day. I will want 6 hours for the home ministry and another 2 hours for the health ministry. If I am given the home ministry, it is not the red book, it is with someone else. I have a blood book. I remember all my blood tests. I remember how the anarchy took place. That is why I will move forward according to my blood book,” he added.
