C Prem Kumar, who first captured national attention with his blockbuster debut 96 featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha, and later directed its Telugu remake Jaanu, is now gearing up for his next film. Meiyazhagan, starring Karthi, is scheduled for a major release in theaters on September 27, 2024.
In a recent media interview, Prem Kumar provided an update on the 96 sequel. He revealed that he is close to finalizing the script. Although he has not yet shared it with Vijay Sethupathi, he has shared the script with the actor’s wife.
Prem Kumar stated that he will present the finalized script to Vijay Sethupathi once it’s complete. The project is expected to move forward after Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha finish their existing commitments.
