Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja made a strong comeback with his previous outing, Dhamaka, which minted good revenues in all territories. The film, directed by Trinadha Rao Nakkina, emerged as the career biggest hit for Ravi Teja and reinstated his lost glory at the box office after a spate of flops. He found a second wind with this timely success and silenced the critics who wrote him off. He then followed it with an energetic performance in a significant role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya.
Despite scoring back-to-back hits, Ravi Teja is unable to create hype for his upcoming film Ravanasura which is getting ready for release this Friday. The Sudheer Varma directional managed only a lukewarm response despite its intriguing trailer and teasers. The advance bookings are very dull in all regions. It seems like the success of Dhamaka has made no big difference to Ravi Teja’s market. Ravanasura might need to depend on mouth talk to perform strongly in the first weekend.
Ravi Teja is playing a grey role in this film. The teasers and trailers showcased the versatility in his acting repertoire, but couldn’t generate the necessary hype ahead of its release. It will need to garner unanimous reviews and encouraging talk to sustain during this Summer season because of the heavy competition.
Can Ravi Teja score a hat-trick and continue his success streak? Let’s wait and see.
Dhamaka success has no impact on Ravanasura
