Delhi High Court Postpones Kavitha’s Bail Petition

The Delhi High Court held a hearing on the bail petitions of BRS MLC Kavitha, arrested in connection with the Delhi liquor case. The CBI stated that it would file a counter to the bail petition on May 27 and that the charge sheet would be submitted on June 7. Additionally, the ED filed a counter to Kavitha’s bail petition, expressing their readiness to present arguments in the case. The court adjourned arguments on Kavitha’s bail petition to Monday and instructed that a copy of the counter be sent to her lawyer by email, to be received by Sunday evening.

During the hearing, Kavitha’s lawyer briefed the court on the circumstances of her arrest by the ED and the investigation agency’s involvement in the case. It was suggested that arguments on Kavitha’s behalf in two cases be completed on Monday. The judge announced that the arguments from the ED and CBI would be heard on Tuesday.
