Review :
Nabha Natesh dives into a complex role in this film, displaying a wide array of emotions and expressions. Her performance stands out, especially in key scenes where she truly shines.
Priyadarshi stands out with his compelling dialogue delivery and his portrayal of a young man facing marital challenges. His nuanced acting is especially remarkable in several crucial scenes.
Muralidhar Goud, Sunitha Manohar, and others are solid and well-executed in their respective roles.
Although marketed as a full-on entertainer, the comedy frequently misses the mark. The main flaw is with the story, which, despite its promise, falls short. While the first half flows smoothly with a mix of humor, the second half becomes laborious. It turns into a fragmented combination of serious, comedic, and emotional scenes, lacking cohesion and revealing multiple plot inconsistencies.
The screenplay falters in the second half, and the director’s vision becomes muddled. Some scenes are painfully tedious and test the audience’s endurance. The implausibility of someone marrying a person they’ve just met and rapidly developing a deep emotional connection strains believability.
Even though Nabha Natesh takes on a unique role, the portrayal of her character’s multiple personalities often feels awkward and draining. culminating in a climax that feels somewhat outdated.
Aswin Raam misses the opportunity to fully utilize the comedic talent of Brahmanandam, Vishnu, and Krishna Tej. The cameos by Suhas and Niharika also have little impact on the overall film.
Aswin Raam’s work as both writer and director falls short. While the production values are adequate, Vivek Sagar’s music disappoints with its underwhelming quality.
Darling proves to be a trial for patience. Although Priyadarshi, Nabha Natesh, and Ananya Nagalla bring energetic performances, the film fails to deliver its comedic promise. Director Aswin Raam’s narrow focus on a limited comedic theme results in a movie that feels monotonous, fragmented, and ultimately burdensome for the audience.
