CPI Narayana Criticizes Budget as Election-Oriented Vote-on-Account

VIjayawada: CPI national secretary Narayana characterized the budget as a vote-on-account designed for electoral purposes. He remarked that Nirmala Sitharaman had artfully presented deceptive statements using eloquent language. Accusing BJP leaders of engaging in blackmail politics by obstructing Lord Ram, he went on to criticize the Governor for behaving worse than an RSS worker in a state where elections are imminent. Narayana suggested that, lacking development in the country, they were seeking votes by leveraging the issue of Lord Ram.

He raised a question about why Jaganmohan Reddy was not challenging the Centre when injustices were being perpetrated against the people of Andhra Pradesh. Narayana pointed out that any criticism of Jaganmohan Reddy was met with caste-based attacks. Additionally, he questioned why Jaganmohan Reddy was not addressing the criticisms raised by his own sister Sharmila. Narayana found it absurd that YSRCP leaders were claiming Sharmila to be an arrow left by Chandrababu, alleging that Jaganmohan Reddy was invoking Modi’s name due to the visible adverse conditions in Andhra Pradesh.
