The Congress’s new weapon of targeting Modi and demeaning the ruling BJP party, ‘No Confidence Motion’ was completely misutilized by the opposition parties. Not only losing in the motion, Congress utterly failed in using the platform to gain political mileage.
I.N.D.I.A, the new opposition group formed against the Indian Prime Minister Modi has bit the dust miserably as it didn’t gain anything from the proposed ‘No Confidence Motion’. Initially, the opposition group failed to shoot one-by-one questions to Modi but instead, it tried to dump all the accusations in one go, making the debate a diluted one. Next, it failed to use the recent happenings in the state of Manipur and solely accused Modi of failing to settle the problems but BJP and Modi cleverly evaded it declaring that it was under Congress’s regime, the actual problems among ethnic groups in Manipur has started. Last but not least, Congress failed to even mention the AP-Telangana bifurcation promises it has given, which the later BJP-led NDA Government never implemented in the first place. All in all, the political experts declare that Congress instead of inserting pressure on Modi has actually fallen into pressure.
If only the I.N.D.I.A led by Sonia Gandhi took a chance in the debate instead of just walking out of it and declares that her party would reply that later, the issue would be different since it missed a wonderful chance and platform to expose Modi and BJP regarding their acts in the past decade’s ruling.
