Going against the Modi brand and image, the Congress party in Karnataka has given a mind-blowing shock to BJP by taking a significant lead in more than half of the seats.
The Karnataka election is touted to be the most crucial election for any party as it would lay a golden path for the Lok Sabha polls that are going to be held in 2024. The Congress party has created a sensation by breaking the walls of Modi’s wave and popularity and has shown a clear dominance by winning 126 seats as of now and was leading in another 8 positions as per the data is concerned. Whereas, the BJP is confined to 62 seats and was in leading in another 4 positions. The state president D K Shiva Kumar has dedicated this victory to Sonia and Rahul.
The BJP state leaders have over-relied on Modi’s fame and image and this seems to have led to the downfall of the party. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai expressed his acknowledgment towards the efforts of Modi but he was disappointed that the party couldn’t make a solid impact in the elections. On the other side, the Congress party is on cloud nine for breaking Modi’s image and emerging victorious.
