However, a sudden rift among them shakes the entire village, disturbing both their lives and the community’s peace. The cause of this discord, its effects on the village’s culture, and the role of Bujji (Sai Kumar) in the drama will all be revealed in the film.

Review :

Sai Kumar excels as the film’s core, masterfully portraying his character with intricate mannerisms and rich emotional layers. His commanding screen presence brings an added intensity to each scene. Seasoned actors like Goparaju Ramana and Balagam Jayaram also shine, delivering impactful performances that deepen the emotional texture of the story.

The newcomers make a striking impression with their genuine and heartfelt performances. Their vibrant portrayals capture a wide range of youthful exuberance, romance, and subtle maturity. Actors such as Sandeep Saroj, Yashwanth Pendyala, Eshwar Rachiraju, Trinadh Varma, Prasad Behara, Manikanta Parasu, Lokesh Kumar Parimi, Shyam Kalyan, Raghuvaran, Shiva Kumar Matta, Akshay Srinivas, as well as Raadhya, Tejaswi Rao, Teena Sravya, Vishika, and Shanmukhi Nagumantri all bring memorable and engaging energy to their roles.

Yadhu Vamsi’s script masterfully handles sensitive subjects within the village context, conveying a powerful message while steering clear of controversy. The nostalgic flashback scenes, filled with childhood recollections, are both delightful and emotionally resonant. Vamsi’s depiction of the village jathara and its significant impact on the villagers’ lives is especially captivating.

The initial half of the film is brimming with youthful vibrancy, romance, and humor. The interval twist is both gripping and memorable. In the second half, the tone becomes more emotional and reflective, but some scenes can feel repetitive, suggesting a need for a tighter pace. While the ending may be somewhat expected, the film’s depiction of election-related satire introduces an insightful layer of social commentary.

The depiction of the Jathara celebrations is particularly visually stunning. Anwar Ali’s editing is proficient in the first half, though the second half could have benefitted from a more concise approach to avoid redundancy. Anudeep Dev’s soundtrack stands out, with melodious and contextually fitting songs that amplify the film’s emotional resonance.

Committee Kurrollu is a pleasant youthful comedy-drama that brings humor, nostalgia, and strong performances to the forefront. While the second half may not be as engaging and the plot isn’t especially captivating, it’s a fun choice for a weekend watch with friends, offering plenty of nostalgic charm.
