Comedian Ali Accused of Promoting Betting Apps, YouTuber Anvesh Alleges Misconduct

Wednesday, April 2, 2025
Popular comedian Ali is facing fresh allegations of endorsing betting apps, as YouTuber Anvesh has raised serious concerns over the promotion of such platforms by celebrities. Anvesh, who operates the YouTube channel “Naa Anveshana,” has been actively highlighting issues related to betting apps and questioning prominent figures for their involvement.
In a recent video, Anvesh scrutinized Ali’s promotional activities, questioning the necessity of such endorsements given his illustrious career. Ali, who began his career as a child actor and has appeared in nearly 1,000 films—including 50 as a lead actor—allegedly owns assets worth approximately ₹1,000 crore. Anvesh further claimed that despite this substantial wealth, Ali has promoted betting apps and, along with his wife, allegedly misled the public through a biryani-themed video tied to a purported financial scam. According to Anvesh, the biryani video, which is said to have cost around ₹10,000 to produce, was used as a cover to boost the visibility of betting app promotions.
When Anvesh advised against the promotion of betting platforms, he recounted that Ali dismissed the concerns by reportedly asking, “Did Allah ever forbid it?” Anvesh expressed deep dismay over the issue, noting that while celebrities like Ali may earn significantly from such endorsements, the adverse impact on individuals—who often suffer heavy financial losses and, in some cases, even lose their lives—cannot be overlooked.
Although Ali has since removed the contentious videos, Anvesh emphasized that their impact remains and urged that the funds earned from promoting betting apps be used to assist those adversely affected. He concluded by calling on Ali to take responsibility for his actions and to help alleviate the financial distress experienced by many.
