Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has emphasized the need to make Telangana a drug-free state, urging officials to take stringent action against drug peddlers, including celebrities and influential individuals, to send a strong message to society.

During a review of the drug menace with senior officials at the Police Command Control Centre and the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau, the Chief Minister stated that severe actions should be taken to instill fear of the TANCB among those involved in drug activities. He urged officials to deal with drug peddlers with an iron hand and assured that the government would provide all necessary facilities and resources to combat drug issues. He also expressed his vision for the TGNAB to set an example for other states.

Chief Minister Reddy instructed officials to implement strict measures to ensure that those involved in drug supply, including ganja, start fearing law enforcement. He called for special drives in suspected areas, heightened vigilance at borders, and breaking the supply chain of drugs. He stressed the importance of making drug dealers feel threatened by the police.

Additionally, the CM inquired about the progress in eradicating ganja and other narcotics, advising officials to immediately form dedicated anti-drug teams to tackle the issue more effectively.
