CM Chandrababu says He will Make Amaravati A global MediCity, 100 To 300 Bed hospitals In Each constituency

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced that he will make Amaravati a global MediCity and he will bring a hospital that provides treatment with international medical standards here. He also revealed that plans are being prepared for the construction of 100 to 300-bed hospitals in each constituency of the state.

The Chief Minister gave a powerpoint presentation on medicine and health in front of the media. He gave details on the increased medical expenses in the state and various diseases. Speaking on this occasion, he said that a Digital Health Nerve Center has been set up in Kuppam.

He deplored that heart diseases, diabetes, hypertension and respiratory diseases are increasing widely in some places in the state. He said that hypertension is more common in women than men in the state and diabetes is more common in some districts due to dietary habits.

Chandrababu revealed that ABH (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) ID cards will be issued to everyone in AP. He said that he intends to monitor the health of the people in real time. He said that in emergency situations, a mobile van will go to the homes and conduct medical tests. He said that a total of 27 tests have already been conducted through this.

The Chief Minister said that Tata Group, Bill Gates Foundation and AP Medtech Park will cooperate in the design of these systems. “We have decided to set up a multi-super specialty hospital with 100 beds in each constituency under the PPP model. If necessary, we will also provide viability gap funding. We will appoint special officers for 10 health problems affecting the state”, he added.

Chandrababu said that they have already appointed Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu for cancer. Wealthy, Healthy and Happy Andhra Pradesh is the goal of the government. “We are planning to take up a mega global medicity project in Amaravati. The Centre has decided to take up 25 global medicity projects across the country under PPP mode. We will build it on a total of 100 acres,” he added.
