After presenting silk garments to Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala, Chief Minister Chandrababu spoke about the occasion. He extended his congratulations to all Hindus residing in the state, country, and abroad. He announced that the Brahmotsav festivities have begun today.
Chandrababu explained that these Brahmotsav celebrations would last for nine days, during which the deity would parade through the streets of Tirumala in various chariots. He noted that the Brahmotsav of Lord Venkateswara is witnessed with a sense of reverence not only by the devotees visiting the temple but also by Hindus around the world.
Expressing his joy, Chandrababu mentioned that it was a privilege for him, on behalf of the state government, to present the most significant ceremonial silk garments and other offerings to the deity, who is believed to be the God of the Kaliyuga and a protector of society in all aspects.
He anticipated that during the nine days of the Brahmotsav, around 1.5 million devotees would visit Tirumala, and he commended the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for taking all necessary measures to ensure their comfort. Chandrababu emphasized that it is our collective responsibility to focus solely on the chanting of Lord Govinda’s name during this time.
