CM Chandrababu Invited PM Modi To Launch capital Amaravati works on May 2

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu held a long meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday evening and invited him to visit and lay the foundation for the capital Amaravati works, which were stalled during YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s regime. 

He presented a memorandum on Amaravati Reopening-2025 activities and explained through a presentation how the state capital will be transformed into a city that will meet the needs of the future.

He said that Amaravati will be transformed into a city that will meet the needs of the people of the 26 districts of the state and the main objective is to make it an inexhaustible reservoir that provides education, healthcare and employment opportunities. He explained how the construction of the capital, which was laid by the Prime Minister in October 2015, was stalled due to subsequent developments.

The Chief Minister said that it is now going to be restarted with the financial assistance provided by the Central Government. The Prime Minister was briefed about the master plan designed to strike a balance between the environment and civic life. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi shared his thoughts. He spoke about the Miyawaki approach being followed in Japan for expanding greenery in the capital area.

He suggested that this approach would be very useful for rapidly expanding greenery. He assured the Prime Minister that all of them would be put into practice. He brought to the attention of the Prime Minister the progress of the Polavaram project and explained that after the announcement of the economic package, production at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has picked up and is gradually increasing.

He thanked the Prime Minister for the construction of the Railway Zone Headquarters and the foundation stone laying of the NTPC Green Hydrogen Plant. He thanked the Central Government for its support in implementing the SC classification in the state. He explained to the Prime Minister about the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel Factory and BPCL refineries to be set up in the state in the future.

Chandrababu said how this refinery to be set up in partnership with BPCL-Aramco will have a positive impact on the development of Andhra Pradesh. He expressed special gratitude to the Central Government for supporting the state in every aspect. He explained to the Prime Minister about the Kopparthi, Orvakal industrial nodes and Drone City development plans in Rayalaseema and requested appropriate assistance for them.

He explained to the Prime Minister the plans related to defense, aerospace and automobile manufacturing in this region and requested the support of the Center. He specially invited the Prime Minister to visit Srisailam, a famous pilgrimage site in the state.
