Chiru’s fanboy director convinces Balakrishna

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is the biggest hit of 2023 in Tollywood so far. The commercial potboiler helmed by KS Ravindra aka Bobby impressed all sections of moviegoers in Telugu States and Overseas after its release for Sankranti this year. Bobby scored brownie points for showcasing vintage Chiranjeevi in a mass avatar. The way he infused all ingredients in this masala entertainer received unanimous applause and it played a significant role in the film’s success.

After Waltair Veerayya, Bobby approached Superstar Rajinikanth with a similar script for his next outing. But, due to various reasons, the meeting didn’t yield a positive outcome. Now, Bobby is going to direct Nandamuri Balakrishna with the same script. Sources revealed that Bobby convinced Balakrishna in the first sitting and got the go-ahead signal. Reportedly, Balayya is mighty impressed with the narration and agreed to team up with the Jai Lava Kusa director very soon.

Balakrishna is currently busy shooting for Anil Ravipudi’s action drama which is slated for release during the Dussehra season. He is also in talks to reunite with Boyapati Srinu for the fourth time in his career. He will sign Bobby’s film as well in the meantime. So, there are good chances that Balakrishna might work simultaneously on both these films.
