Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will soon release a white paper on issues such as land grabs during the last five years of YSRCP rule, including alienation of valuable places like Dasapalla in Visakhapatnam, illegalities in the name of permanent rights on assigned lands and exploitation of natural resources.

On this, Chief Minister Chandrababu along with ministers Kollu Ravindra, Anagani Satyaprasad and TG Bharat reviewed with the officials of the respective departments at the Secretariat. The Chief Minister, expressing his discontent over the report prepared by the officials, asked them to present a more comprehensive report with all facts.

Officials stated in the report that Ramanaidu studio lands in Visakha were converted into residential category against the rules. They noted disputed CBCNC lands were given to the construction project of the former YSRCP MP MVV Satyanarayana. Officials said in the report that the lands of NCC, Dasapalla and Hayagriva were encroached upon.

It also pointed out that 15 acres of the most valuable land in Kothavalasa was allotted to Sarada Peetha at the rate of one rupee per acre. It has been clarified that 9,93,284 acres have been excluded from the 22(a) list as per the law made by the YSRCP government to provide ownership rights on the assigned lands that have been allotted for more than 20 years.

Officials explained that the YSRCP leaders took those lands from the poor at a low price. They also pointed out  that the YSRCP government has framed the Land Titling Act in contrast to the spirit of the Model Titling Act proposed by NITI Aayog. it said that the protection of people’s lands will be questionable with the provisions of that law.

They said that there have been massive land grabs in the surrounding areas including Ongole. They revealed that irregularities were also committed in the issuance of birth and death certificates. They said that old dates were entered on survey reports, land transfer, old stamp papers and GPAs were created with fake persons.

It has been revealed that some have encroached on unclaimed private lands that are in family disputes. The officials mentioned in their report that the YSRCP leaders used to interfere in the selection of beneficiaries for the distribution of house titles and agricultural lands and used to collect money from the beneficiaries.
