Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who is seeking special central assistance to help Andhra Pradesh, which has been seriously damaged by the YSRCP’s destructive regime of the last five years of state division, is continuing to make efforts to ensure that the state gets due priority in the union budget.
Just a few days before the union budget to be presented in the Parliament, he went to the national capital Delhi last night and met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence at Krishna Menanmarg.
Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Union Ministers Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar and TDP Parliamentary Party Leader Lau Srikrishna Devaraya were also present. He appealed to make sufficient allocations for the state in the central budget to be presented on 23rd of this month.
Apart from speedy resolution of the issues in the Bifurcation Act, Chandrababu appealed to allocate funds for the construction of Amaravati capital city and completion of Polavaram project, with special attention. He asked for help to repair the damaged roads across the state.
He appealed to sanction new national highways and railways to connect different parts of the state. He requested that the establishment of Visakha Railway Zone should be completed immediately and the Center should take the initiative to set up industrial corridors speedily.
Taking note of the fact that the per capita income in the south is the lowest in Andhra Pradesh, the CM requested that incentives be provided for the establishment of industries suitable for employment and employment generation in the state.
Chandrababu posted details of his meeting in X. He said that the issues in the 4 white papers released so far on YSRCP’s regime of destruction have been discussed. He stated that he had explained that the state’s financial problems had gone beyond their control due to the huge debt burden in the last five years.
The CM said that the central and state governments will come up with a comprehensive plan and reassess the economic conditions of the state.
