Pension distribution activities were held across Andhra Pradesh on Friday, with Chief Minister Chandrababu personally delivering pensions to beneficiaries as part of his state-wide outreach initiative.
In YSR Kadapa district’s Jammalamadugu mandal, Chandrababu visited Gudencheruvu village, where he handed over a widow pension to beneficiary Ulsala Aliveleamma at her residence. During the visit, the Chief Minister interacted with Aliveleamma’s family, reviewing their livelihood and welfare benefits.
Her elder son, Venugopal, a handloom worker, demonstrated his loom to Chandrababu and mentioned that his six-year-old son, Harshavardhan, had availed benefits under the “Thalliki Vandhanam” scheme. The Chief Minister also spoke with Aliveleamma’s younger son, Jagadeesh, an auto driver, and later traveled with him in his auto to Praja Vedika, discussing the family’s financial challenges along the way.
According to officials, the visit was part of Chandrababu’s effort to personally verify the implementation of government welfare schemes and address the concerns of pension beneficiaries. Villagers expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that direct delivery of pensions at homes provided significant relief to beneficiaries.
