The Nandamuri family is in mourning following the death of Padmaja, wife of Nandamuri Jayakrishna, eldest son of legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao. Padmaja, aged 73, had been battling health issues for some time. She was also the sister of Venkateswara Rao Daggubati.
During the funeral in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid tribute to Padmaja and consoled her grieving family members. Speaking at the event, he recalled that Padmaja had been the guiding force of the family after his mother-in-law and had overseen family matters during his own wedding. He expressed that her demise will leave an irreplaceable void, particularly for Jayakrishna.
Chandrababu Naidu further reflected on his association with the Nandamuri family, noting that during his tenure as Minister of Cinematography, Jayakrishna, as an exhibitor, had frequently assisted him and facilitated his introduction to the family. He added that Padmaja was known for her warmth and ability to connect with everyone, and her passing is a deep loss to all who knew her.
