Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to swiftly complete the first phase of development works at key ports and fishing harbors to accelerate the state’s economic growth. The directive came during a review meeting held at his Undavalli camp office on Monday.
The CM emphasized establishing the Andhra Pradesh Logistics Corporation promptly to strengthen the state’s transport and supply chain network by integrating ports, airports, and highways. He advocated for expanding road infrastructure under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models to enhance connectivity to ports and industrial areas while minimizing logistics costs.
Chandrababu also instructed officials to explore upgrading select fishing harbors to minor ports without affecting local fishermen’s interests. He set deadlines for completing initial works at Machilipatnam, Ramayapatnam, Mulpeta, and Kakinada Gateway ports, along with fishing harbors at Juvvaladinne, Nizampatnam, Machilipatnam, and Uppada.
