Centre’s Intelligence Bureau says No Threat To Jagan’s security

Friday, December 5, 2025

At a time the YSRCP leaders are creating a stir accusing the Chandrababu Naidu government has left the security of its leader to the wind, the Center’s Intelligence Bureau has submitted a report that there is no threat to the security of former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. It was reported by the Deputy Solicitor General to the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

Jagan has filed a petition in the High Court seeking to direct the Union Home Ministry to restore his Z+ category security. In the petition, Jagan has requested to provide security with NSG or CRPF personnel. The AP government’s special counsel told the High Court that Jagan is already being provided Z+ security with 58 people.

Meanwhile, the Police have seized Jagan’s vehicle, saying that it was responsible for Singayya’s death.  Police have issued notices to YCP leaders also. At the same time, YCP leaders have been making allegations about Jagan’s security for the past few days.

Meanwhile, the report submitted by the Central Intelligence Bureau in the court regarding Jagan’s security has gained importance. The government’s lawyer clarified that there is no truth in the petitioner’s claim that the AP government did not provide security. The High Court has ordered the Central and State governments to file a counter. The court has adjourned the hearing of the case to July 15.

The state government has also clarified the security provided during Jagan’s tours. Officials say that 506 people were provided with security when Jagan went for consultation in Raptadu constituency. It is being clarified that necessary security was provided during his visit to Sattenapalli and Mirchi Yard.  Official sources say that 71 people were provided with security at Jagan’s house in Pulivendula.

Now, another case has been registered against Jagan recently. The police have registered a case against a large number of former CM Jagan and YSRCP leaders who illegally entered the Guntur Mirchi Yard and caused inconvenience to the people, despite election code in force. Notices were issued under Section 41A to the party leaders involved in this. The police registered a case under Crime No. 206/2025 at Nallapadu Police Station on the same day.

Jagan and several other party leaders are involved in this case. The police have issued notices to the rest except Jagan. Similarly, when they went to the house of former minister Ambati Rambabu to serve the notice, it seems that he was not available.
