The Telangana cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, was scheduled for last evening but was postponed due to the lack of approval from the Election Commission (EC). Today, with the EC’s approval, the way has been cleared for the state cabinet meeting.
Chief Minister Reddy had planned to travel to Delhi with his cabinet colleagues to seek permission if the EC’s approval was not granted. However, the Central Election Commission responded positively, making the trip unnecessary.
The EC has set specific conditions for the meeting, stating that only urgent matters to be addressed before June 4 should be discussed. Topics such as the joint capital and farm loan waivers are off-limits for this meeting. With the EC’s green light, preparations are underway for the Telangana cabinet meeting.
