The two parties Janasena and TDP have formed an unexpected alliance for the general elections of 2024 with a common motto of defeating YS Jagan. However, the seat sharing between these two parties is still unsettling.
Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan declared that he will not split the anti-incumbency votes this time and he teamed up with the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu. Now that the elections are approaching, the two-party heads have met recently and discussed seat sharing. It is learnt that CBN had offered 25 MLA seats along with one MP seat to the JSP but Pawan Kalyan is demanding 50 seats. According to Janasena, the party has expanded its roots post-2019 elections, especially in the two Godavari districts so they want a minimum of 30 seats just from the united east and west Godavari districts with a total of 3 MP seats. Naidu for now is reluctant but Janasenani is still holding talks to get the maximum seats for his party.
One has to wait and see if both parties strike a balance in the seat-sharing with less friction between them. For now, both parties have been working relentlessly on the booth level in strengthening the vote bank and are working for a common manifesto.
