Secunderabad Cantonment Congress MLA Sri Ganesh has made emotional remarks that his own party men tried to attack him. The MLA participated in the fruit cart procession at Osmania University Manikeshwari Nagar on Sunday evening as part of the Bonala festival. During this, about 20 people tried to attack the vehicle he was travelling in.
They asked him to lower the windows. However, the gunmen, who were alerted, took the car directly to the OU police station. He managed to escape from danger with the gunmen’s timely intervention. He went directly to the Osmania University police station and filed a complaint with the police.
Speaking to the media about the incident, the MLA alleged that his party members had attempted the attack. He expressed suspicion that it was done intentionally. He said that he had been targeted by a leader (Golla Kittu) from his party in the Cantonment constituency.
He said that he had complained to the DCP last Friday about his behavior. He said that immediately after that, his close friends were intimidated. “Some people are going around saying that they will attack me and end me. If they don’t take action, my reaction will be different ” he warned.
The MLA said that the problem with those feels that they only should be in the party and others should not have any say. If they don’t want me to encourage others in the party, how can I listen to what they say?, he asked. He lamented that the problem with such people is that they will come whenever a party is in power.
“It is not right to be a hooligan and say that no one should be in the party except me. I will expose everything publicly in two or three days,” he said. He said that all those who tried to attack him on Sunday were from outside the constituency. He said that he has already identified three of them and informed the police. However, he said that this is not a big enough matter to tell the party leaders.
