BRS faces a huge blow from the SC in the MLA poaching case

Friday, September 20, 2024

KCR and BRS which are aiming big on exposing the rival party BJP on a national level in the MLA poaching case have been getting blow after blow from the courts of India. After losing the case in the High Court of Telangana, BRS got a negative result even at the Supreme Court of India.

The sensational case of four TRS MLAs poaching shook the state of Telangana when one of the 4 MLAs, Pilot Reddy tipped off local police and caught three men red-handed. Since then the Telangana Govt has been trying to make an investigation using its home department’s Special Investigation Team but the intervention of CBI shattered BRS’s dreams. KCR even declared that he has all the evidence against the BJP for its alleged poaching but to date, the High Court didn’t receive any evidence and thus transferred the case to the central institution of CBI, which is pretty much in control of the BJP led central government.

KCR tried his best to challenge the HC’s judgment in the Supreme Court of India last year and the case came to a hearing today. The Judge’s bench declared that no one has the right to stop the intervention of the CBI as per the constitution when the lawyers who represent the BRS Govt pleaded to transfer the case back to SIT from the CBI. The bench also found fault with the KCR’s side regarding the evidence he failed to produce against the BJP. With this judgment, KCR’s dreams of embarrassing the BJP at the national level has completely destroyed. The entire issue revolved around the BJP as the accused three members have connections with the BJP, especially with the accused BL Santosh, who was the State treasurer of BJP for the Telangana wing when he was caught.
