BRS Demand CBI probe Into change In southern part of RRR Alignment

Sunday, December 29, 2024

Former Minister and BRS MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy questioned the Telangana government as to what was the motive behind changing the alignment of the southern part of the RRR, which was prepared earlier by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

Stating that  Congress leaders are saying that this change is for the sake of the future city, he demanded an answer as to why the new alignment is going further away from the city than the previous one.

He said that there was a concern in the villages over the change in the alignment of the southern part of the RRR and added that the conspiracy behind the alignment change was uncovered with solid evidence. Why didn’t the entire alignment of the southern part be changed, but the area where Congress leaders have hundreds of acres of land changed?, he asked.

He wondered that within a month of the coming of the Congress government, the Kundaram lands cultivated by the poor farmers for decades have dried up for this purpose. What is the reason behind running the ring road alignment near those Kundaram lands? He said.

Prasanth Reddy alleged that there is speculation that the alignment change is being conspired only to increase the land prices of the Congress leaders. Due to the change, Telangana state did not receive funds of Rs.12,500 crore from the Centre. But , he lamented that the state government is plotting to facilitate a boom in the prices of their own lands, by obtaining World Bank loans for the RRR.

The BRS MLA demanded an immediate CBI inquiry into this anarchic affair which has pushed the people of Telangana into a mire of debt and is tearing up and looting the lands of innocent and poor farmers. He warned that people will realise the BJP- Congress unholy alliance, if ministers from the state G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar handed over this scam for CBI probe.
