BRS, BJP women Leaders slams washing of Foreign women Feet By Telangana Girls At Ramappa

Women leaders of both BRS and BJP expressed anger over the washing of foreign women’s feet, who are participating in Miss World contest in Hyderabad, by Telangana girls, during their visit to the heritage site Ramappa temple. Condemning this act as an insult to self-respect of Telangana women, they have demanded the Revanth Reddy government to take action against those responsible for it.

For BRS ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Satyavati Rathod, Sunita Lakshma Reddy and MLA Kova Lakshmi in a letter to Congress `supreme leader’ Sonia Gandhi they deplored that Congress government in the state of Telangana, which was achieved with self-respect, pushing towards slavery.

They accused the Congress government of cheating women at every step for the last 18 months and made it clear that the Revanth Reddy government should change its approach immediately. They said that the incident of washing the feet of foreign women is leading to serious chaos and controversy.

They have demanded an apology from Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy from the women, mothers and sisters of the state. Otherwise, BRS women leaders warned that the women of the state will turn against the Congress party.

Miss World contestants visited Mulugu and Ramappa temples. On this occasion, when the beauties washed their feet before entering the Ramappa temple, the pouring of water by Telangana women  became controversial. BRS leaders have strongly criticized the state government for washing the feet of beautiful women with Telangana women. BRS leaders have expressed their anger that this is a great insult to the state.

However, Minister Seethakka lashing out at BRS leaders, has accused BRS leaders of pouring fire in their eyes after the beauty queens’ heritage walk in Warangal district was a success. She accused them of deliberately trying to pick feathers on a chicken egg.

Meanwhile, the President of the State BJP Mahila Morcha, Dr. Shilpa Reddy, has expressed strong objection to the Congress government’s slavery and hatred towards women in the name of the world beauty pageant. She expressed her anger that this is an attack on the self-respect of Telangana women.

She strongly condemned the state government’s behavior of putting the self-esteem of Telangana girls at the feet of beauty pageants. She lamented that the state government’s attitude towards Dalit and tribal women is even more shameful. She demanded that the state government immediately apologize for this heinous incident.
