BJP slams YCP Regime Was Under Land Grabbers

Monday, September 16, 2024

AP BJP Chief Spokesperson Lanka Dinakar lamented that YCP regime  was under the rule of land grabbers and they are accused of looting all kinds of land in three regions under the guise of three capitals.

He welcomed the white paper released by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on land grabbing during the YCP regime with facts. He deplored that during the last five years of YCP rule, government, forest, temple and people’s lands have been caught in the clutches of the grabbers.

He said that people were panicked when Jagan brought the Land Titling Act and welcomed CM Chandrababu’s announcement that he will bring the Land Grabbing Act for the protection of public and government lands. He said that during the YCP regime, the exploitation of lakhs of acres of DK lands of the poor had been opened and action should be taken.

He said that in the last five years, the land records of temples have been tampered with over thousands of acres in the state. Simhachalam temple lands were being alienated. At the Simhachalam temple guest house, a person named Karthik Sundara Rajan from Tamil Nadu has been accused of tampering with temple land records.

He said that the lands of Annavaram and Indrakiladri temples were encroached. The BJP leader revealed that the lands of Hathiram Math in Tirupati have become a mess. Dinakar made it clear that the land records of every temple in the state should be examined and the encroached and alienated lands should be brought back.

He demanded that YCP’s corruption in the entire state should be brought out and the culprits should be punished, just like the illegalities of Rajahmundry’s Awa lands and Kakinada’s mangroves to get houses for the poor.

He said that in Ongole, registration documents were stolen, private property was seized in Vijayawada and Guntur, and quartz and silica wealth was looted in Nellore. He expressed anger that Jagan had allotted thousands of acres of government and forest land to dear and near in the name of projects in Rayalaseema.

In the last five years, the granite quarries in Prakasam, Chittoor and Srikakulam districts have been fragmented. In Jagan’s own district, Kadapa, the illegal mining of barytes and limestone has reached the sky, he said.

He expressed his anger that Jagan gets the credit of giving all his support to his followers, leaving aside the all-round development of the state with natural resources. He accused Jagan for creating a record of corruption in the construction of political party offices in the country by allocating illegal land for the construction of a palaces for the YCP party offices.
