Bhuvaneswari Contributed Rs 2 Crore From Heritage Foods For Flood Relief

As Telugu states are recovering from continuous rains and floods after four days, many film, political, business leaders and charitable organizations are coming forward lending a helping hand.  Many celebrities have already announced donations.

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s wife and Heritage Foods Limited MD Nara Bhuvaneshwari announced Rs 2 donation for relief efforts in the flood-affected areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and to support the affected families. She said that on behalf of Heritage Foods, she is making a donation of Rs 1 crore for each Telugu state.

On the other hand, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and Kovuru MLA Vemireddy Prashanthi Reddy together with CM Chandrababu presented a cheque of Rs 1 crore to Chief Minister. Members of AP Civil Service (Executive Branch) Association announced donation of their one day salary, Rs 1 crore to help flood victims.

The SC and ST Employees Union has decided to contribute their one day’s salary to help the flood victims. AP Minister TG Bharat announced a donation of Rs. 10 lakhs on behalf of TGV Groups of Companies to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the flood victims. Owners of Vijayawada Ayush Hospitals have announced a donation of Rs.50 lakh for the relief of flood victims in AP.

Moreover, AYUSH doctors will also donate one day’s salary. Kallam Rajasekhar Reddy and Kommareddy Kiran from Mangalagiri Constituency of Guntur District handed over Rs.10 lakh each to Minister Nara Lokesh. AV Ramana Reddy, the owner of Saraswati Educational Institutions from Ongole, donated Rs. 7 lakhs.

Maruti Suzuki has said that it is donating Rs 3 crore to PM Cares Fund for flood relief measures in various states. Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIAL) has responded to the Vijayawada flood victims.

In collaboration with the Hare Krishna Movement, MEIL supported the flood victims in Vijayawada. Akshaya Patra is preparing food in the kitchens of MEIL. Along with them, many people from different districts across the state are voluntarily providing donations, food, water bottles, vegetables and fruits in their own way.
