Tollywood is abuzz with reports that veteran actors Balakrishna and Vijayashanti, a popular on-screen pair from the past, are set to reunite after a gap of over three decades. The duo is reportedly coming together for Balakrishna’s highly anticipated film Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Srinu.
Balakrishna and Vijayashanti have shared significant box office success, starring together in nearly 16 films including notable hits such as Kathanayakudu, Muddula Krishnayya, Muddula Maavayya, Lorry Driver, and Rowdy Inspector. Their last collaboration was in the 1993 film Nippu Ravva.
The sequel to the pan-India blockbuster Akhanda is currently in production, with Vijayashanti rumored to play a key role. While these reports have generated excitement among fans, the production team has yet to issue any official statement confirming the casting news. Should the reunion materialize, it is expected to significantly raise expectations for the film’s success.
