While the state is reeling with floods on one side, AP ministers deplored that the former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been resorting to `politics of mud’. They accused the YCP chief of continuing his political life full of lies.
Alleging that it was the former chief minister’s regime that led to unprecedented floods in Vijayawada city, ministers Nimmala Rama Naidu and Dr P Narayana said that he has no right to criticize chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. They lamented that Jagan has been supporting those who committed severe criminal activities by visiting them in prisons. Thus, they alleged that he had implicitly accepted his involvement in the attack on the TDP office.
Minister Anagani Sathya Prasad said that without a minimum knowledge on flow of Krishna water, Jagan is making false accusations. He said that they are trying to get hold of a fake and make them believe that it is true.
“He is a vile person who even supports the attack on TDP office. If people are in trouble, it’s okay for Jagan to go to someone who has a history of burning crops. Jagan’s sins are the reason why 6 lakh people got caught in the flood. He should apologize for that”, he added.
Minister Satyakumar Yadav wondered that Jagan, who went to jail to see a criminal was unable to see the flood victims. He deplored that forgetting his social responsibility, even during periods of calamities, Jagan resorted to political accusations with false narratives.
He said that Chandrababu Naidu has motivated the government machinery to focus on flood victims by fielding one minister for each Division, by a senior IAS officer. He said that the government has stood by the flood victims in a way that has never been seen in history.
Satyakumar participated in the distribution program of 500 essential goods kits to flood victims under the auspices of Kshatriya Seva Sangam in Vijayawada. He hailed that the Vijayawada flood disaster management is an indication of how efficient rescue operations can be provided if both the state and central governments work together.
Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy expressed anger that while everyone is helping during calamities, YCP leaders are playing politics. He alleged that they conspired to demolish the Prakasam barrage with boats.
