Amaravati: The elections in Andhra Pradesh were marred by incidents of violence in the Palnadu district. Angered TDP leaders and activists resorted to rigging and attacks at several polling centers. In response, State Water Resources Minister Ambati Rambabu approached the High Court to request re-polling in Sattenapally.

Reports indicate that TDP leaders engaged in rigging at polling centers 236 and 237 in Narnepadu, Muppalla mandal, and at polling centers 253 and 254 in Dammalapadu, all within the Sattenapally constituency of Palnadu district. YSRCP leaders and workers were reportedly prevented from attacking these centers.

Minister Rambabu informed the Election Commission about the need to examine web camera footage from these polling centers and to conduct re-polling based on the incidents. When the Election Commission did not respond, Rambabu filed a petition in the High Court, naming five individuals, including the EC and CEO, as respondents. The High Court is scheduled to hear the case on Thursday.
