AP Govt. Providing Rs 600 Crore Relief To 4 Lakh Flood victims Today

After the completion of the enumeration process, the Chandrababu Naidu government is providing a financial package of Rs 600 crore to about 4 lakh flood affected people on Wednesday. The Chief Minister has formally handed over assistance to the flood affected people at the Collectorate in the morning.

About 1.5 lakh people were affected by the flood within Vijayawada city. The alliance government is providing financial assistance for the loss of houses, shops, carts, businesses, small scale industries, vehicles, crops and livestock. The government will provide this financial package directly to the bank accounts of the victims under DBT.

The government is providing more assistance than the prescribed NDRF guidelines. Moreover, all the banks have agreed to reschedule loans of flood affected people to the extent of Rs 180 crore. CM Chandrababu Naidu ordered the officials to provide a financial package to them as per the rules if anyone’s name is missing in the enumeration.

The government will deposit the compensation to the flood affected families on Wednesday itself in their bank accounts. It will be deposited directly into the bank account. CM Chandrababu Naidu has started the money transfer program related to this.

The government provided cash assistance of Rs. 25,000 to those whose ground floor was submerged in floods. Rs.10,000 cash will be deposited for those who are on the first and other floors. Rs.25,000 will be given as compensation to those whose shops were destroyed and Rs.25,000 per hectare for crops.

The government will provide Rs.10,000 each to the houses that were damaged in other parts of the state. The victims are expressing joy as the coalition government has announced a package that has never been seen in history.

Moreover, the government also provided an investment assistance of Rs.280.92 crore to the agricultural crops damaged by the recent heavy rains and floods in the state. To this extent, the Chief Minister deposited money into farmer’s accounts. Officials found that 1.17 lakh acres of crops were damaged across the state and 1.87 lakh farmers lost their crops.
