Chandrababu Naidu-led government has taken a decision to publicize all the GOs that were kept secret during the previous YCP regime. It was decided to upload these secret GOs on the GOIR website. The government has directed the authorities to upload all the secret files from August 15, 2021 to August 28, 2024.
General Administration Department Secretary S. Suresh Kumar has issued an order to IT and Electronics Department officials to restore the GOIR website and make all the old GOs available to the public. All government orders from 2008 till now are available on GOIR portal. However, the orders issued between August 15, 2021 and August 28, 2024 during the YCP government were not uploaded on the site.
The opposition criticized the then Jaganmohan Reddy government for deliberately doing this. Mass protests were also held alleging that secret GOs beings are being released to commit illegalities, cover up mistakes and oppress the opposition. To this extent, the newly formed NDA government has issued orders to upload all of them.
Officials say that it has been decided to make all the GOs available to the public with the intention that there will not be a lack of information if the GOs are not available to the public. They said that soon all the GOs will be available on the website.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has taken another important decision. The Society for AP Network (SapNet) has shut down. The government has issued an official order to this effect. The staff, assets and liabilities related to SapNet have been transferred to AP Government Board of Higher Education.
This Sapnet was established in 2018 by the then TDP government to create awareness about government programs. As part of this, Mana TV provided services to the education sector. But recently the government has decided to close this SapNet. The government has transferred the personnel, assets and debts to the Board of Higher Education. It has decided to provide effective services from the Board of Education.
