The Andhra Pradesh government has addressed criticisms from YSRCP leaders regarding the ‘Ammaku Vandana’ scheme, clarifying that misinformation has been circulating about the scheme’s details. Kona Sasidhar, Secretary of the State’s School Education Department, issued a statement to clarify the situation.
According to Sasidhar, there has been confusion regarding the scheme, particularly concerning claims made during election campaigns. He emphasized that the government has not yet finalized the guidelines for the ‘Ammaku Vandanam’ scheme. Sasidhar also pointed out that the Central government’s Aadhaar norms order does not pertain to the scheme’s implementation guidelines.
“There is misinformation being spread on social media, misinterpreting the Aadhaar order as relating to the ‘Ammaku Vandanam’ scheme,” Sasidhar stated. He assured the public that once the government approves the guidelines for the scheme, they will be formally communicated to everyone to dispel any confusion or misinformation.
