Sircilla: Veldi Hariprasad, a renowned handloom artist from Sircilla, had the rare opportunity to create garments for Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who is also the chief of the Jana Sena Party. The clothes, valued at approximately Rs 6 lakh, were commissioned by a fan from Atlanta, USA, who envisioned a memento featuring Pawan Kalyan’s image on Hariprasad’s handloom creations.

Hariprasad and his wife dedicated nearly 25 days to crafting the garments, including a shirt and pants. The intricate Jana Sena logo on the shirt, woven using red and black silk thread, took five days to complete. The logo was entirely handwoven, reflecting the artist’s meticulous craftsmanship.

For the garments, Hariprasad used high-quality 100-number cotton and linen threads, weaving them on a handloom with traditional methods. The shirt required three meters of cloth, while the pants were made from two meters.
