On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan conveyed their festive greetings to the Telugu community.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tweeted his best wishes to Telugu people both in India and abroad, hoping that Lord Ganesha’s blessings bring joy to all. He expressed his sorrow over the severe difficulties faced by the people of Vijayawada due to the heavy rains and unexpected floods, which have caused significant suffering. He assured that the government is working tirelessly to alleviate their hardships and to restore normalcy.
Naidu also expressed a wish for the future, hoping that no further disasters would strike the people. He prayed for the removal of obstacles and the progress of the state, extending his Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
In his response, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan hoped for the uninterrupted development and well-being of the Telugu states, invoking Lord Ganesha to ensure prosperity without hindrance. He lamented that the current floods have overshadowed the festival spirit, making it difficult for people to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi joyfully. Kalyan urged that festivities be conducted modestly and traditionally, avoiding extravagance and using any remaining funds to support flood victims.
He reiterated his call to worship only clay Ganesh idols and urged against promoting artificial materials that do not dissolve in water, emphasizing the need to preserve a good environment for future generations. Pawan Kalyan concluded by praying for a future free of floods and droughts, extending heartfelt wishes for prosperity to all.
