AP Cabinet Divided on second phase of Land pooling In Amaravati, Pawan warns That Gives scope To Jagan

Friday, December 5, 2025

The AP Cabinet seems to be divided over the second phase of land acquisition undertaken by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as part of the construction of the capital city of Amaravati.

Farmers in several villages are already expressing opposition to the ruling party leaders who are going to the people again in the name of the second phase of land pooling, without doing justice to the farmers who were given 36,000 acres collected in the past.

With this, it is learned that the ministers have told CM Chandrababu in the recently held cabinet meeting not to do this land acquisition. Opposition is especially expressed from Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Jana Sena ministers. Pawan seems to have warned that this is to give an opportunity to YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy.

Chandrababu tried to dissuade him by saying that he had faced the Congress, how much is YSRCP?  It seems that he has also given a counter asking him “You talk a lot, but what have you done so far to confront Jagan?”. On the other hand, in the Amaravati issue, Minister Nadendla Manohar alleged that Minister Dr P. Narayana is acting unilaterally are causing a stir.

It is reported that Nadendla Manohar objected that Narayana is acting like a bureaucrat in Amaravati affairs. It seems that the majority ministers have told Chandrababu Naidu that the consequences will be serious if the second phase of pooling is finally carried out. With this, they have advised the CM to suspend the pooling.

It may be recalled that the government is ready to collect more than 40,000 acres of land in the villages of Amaravati in the second phase. However, in the wake of objections, these 40,000 acres are being reduced to 25,000. However, now there are objections from the farmers who do not want land acquisition at all.

While the farmers who were given lands in the first phase want to do justice to them before going to the second phase. It seems that there was a heated discussion on Amaravati in the cabinet meeting. The ministers told the CM that there is concern in Amaravati over land pooling as no work has been done for 10 years. It is reported that the ministers, except for CM Chandrababu and Narayana, have objected to this land consolidation.

The impact of the second phase of land pooling is visible among them, which is a statewide concern. Moreover, due to the second phase land pooling move, the value of lands in and around Amaravati fell drastically, causing serious concern among people all over.
