Amaravati: The stage is now set for assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, as a team from the Central Election Commission has completed their visit to the state to assess the election preparations. Essential instructions have been issued by the Election Commission (EC) to officials, aiming to conduct general elections in April. The schedule for the Lok Sabha elections is anticipated to be released by the end of February or the first week of March, with the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections also likely to be scheduled for April.
Sources suggest that April 16 is being considered as the reference date for the elections. The EC is actively engaging in preparations for elections across states, focusing on both Lok Sabha and assembly elections. The Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi has instructed state officials to make arrangements considering April 16 as the election date. Elections are planned across the country in April, and it is expected that Lok Sabha elections in the Telugu states, including Andhra Pradesh, will also be held in April.
