ASM International is recognized worldwide in the field of material science and engineering. It manufactures metals, ceramics and polymers. On the other hand, ASM International will initially hire 100 people for its Vizag office. Officials believe that it will be a bridge for academia, industry and health sectors.
On the other hand, steps are being taken to set up several projects in Visakhapatnam along with ASM International. They are planning to start a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Medical Management Center at the Visakhapatnam Institute of Medical Sciences. Discussions are underway between the AP government and the Union Health Ministry on this.
Moreover, a solar energy pilot project is going to be set up in Bhimili. It is learnt that Anandapuram, Gambhiram, Chippada, Reddipalli, Vellanki and Rajula Tallavalasa villages in Bhimili constituency have been selected for the solar energy pilot project.
