Andhra Pradesh MLAs Are Richest In The country, 4 of Top 10 Richest MLAs From TDP

Andhra Pradesh MLAs are the richest in the country. The average asset of AP MLAs is Rs. 65 crores. This is the highest in the country. From a party perspective, BJP MLAs have the most assets across the country. BJP’s Mumbai and Ghatkopar East MLA Parag Shah has emerged as the richest MLA in the country with assets of Rs. 3,400 crores.

Four of the top-10 richest MLAs in the country are from TDP. Telangana MLA G Vivekananda (Chennur) is at 11th position, K Rajagopal Reddy (Munugode) is at 15th position, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy (Paleru) is at 19th position. This was revealed in a report released by the Election Watch-dog Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).

The second richest MLA in the country is Karnataka’s Kanakapura MLA and Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. His assets are worth over Rs 1,413 crore. The ADR report states the details in the affidavits submitted by the MLAs to the Election Commission in the recent elections. The report was released after studying the assets of 4,092 MLAs from 28 states and union territories.

The poorest MLA is BJP MLA Nirmal Kumar Dhara from Indus in West Bengal, whose declared assets are only Rs 1,700. Among the richest MLAs in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are also present.

Chandrababu Naidu’s assets are Rs 931 crore, while Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assets are Rs 757 crore. Other prominent figures include Independent MLA K H Puttaswamy Gowda from Karnataka. His assets are Rs 1,267 crore, and Congress MLA Priya Krishna also from Karnataka, assets are Rs 1,156 crore.

TDP MLA P. Narayana from Andhra Pradesh has assets of Rs. 824 crore. TDP MLA V Prashanthi Reddy from AP has assets of Rs. 716 crore. Four out of the 10 richest MLAs and seven out of the top 20 richest MLAs are from Andhra Pradesh. Among them are IT Minister Nara Lokesh and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna.

The highest average assets of MLAs are in Andhra Pradesh at Rs. 65.07 crore, in Karnataka at Rs. 63.58 crore, in Maharashtra at Rs. 43.44 crore, and in Telangana at Rs. 38 crore. The lowest average assets of MLAs are in Tripura at Rs. 1.51 crore, in Bengal at Rs. 2.80 crore, and in Kerala at Rs. 3.13 crore.

The total assets of all 223 MLAs in Karnataka are Rs. 14,179 crores, while the total assets of all 236 MLAs in Maharashtra are Rs. 12,424 crores. The total assets of all 174 MLAs in Andhra Pradesh are Rs. 11,323 crores. The assets of one MLA are not known.
