Amaravati farmers and women expressed their anger over journalist Krishnam Raju’s objectionable and derogatory remarks on women and capital Amaravati in Sakshi channel. They deplored that no one would make such comments on Amaravati. They deplored that the management of Sakshi did not at least condemn this incident.
They said that along with Sakshi media, they have filed a complaint with the police against Kommineni Srinivasa Rao and Krishnam Raju. They said that they will meet the Women’s Commission on Sunday and complain about this matter. They warned that their struggle will not stop until they are punished.
They said that the women of the capital area have been protesting for 1630 days. They wondered that Kommineni Srinivasa Rao, who should have condemned Krishnam Raju’s objectionable comments, had shamelessly satirized. Amaravati farmers demanded that the government should respond to these comments and immediate action.
They demanded that action be taken against Kommineni Srinivasa Rao and Krishnam Raju. They questioned why there was a delay in taking action if they spoke so meanly about women. They expressed their concern that the YSRCP leaders who killed Amaravati for five years are still conspiring. They were angry that ministers and MLAs spoke meanly about Amaravati in the previous YSRCP government as well.
They flagged that even though people had warned Jagan in the elections, they were still talking like that. They questioned why the government had not areasted Krishnam Raju yet. They demanded that the government and police respond to this matter immediately. The capital farmers demanded that legal action be taken against them.
Meanwhile, Telugu women staged a protest at the Sakshi office in Anantapur on Sunday. They demanded that Sakshi Channel, which made inappropriate comments on Telugu girls, be shut down immediately. They demanded that action be taken against Sakshi Channel anchor Kommineni Srinivasa Rao and journalist Krishnam Raju, who made inappropriate comments on Telugu women of Amaravati during the Sakshi Channel debate.
Telugu women protested by setting fire to Sakshi papers at the Sakshi office. They demanded that Sakshi Chairman YS Bharathi Reddy publicly apologize to Telugu women.
