Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has proclaimed that the working capital, Amaravati belongs to everyone in the state. Declaring that the place is home for all, especially for the poor people, Jagan laid the foundation for the houses that are to be constructed for the economically backward sections of the state.
The CM reached the Krishnayapalem village in the Guntur district and handed over the documents of the yet-to-be-constructed houses to the beneficiaries and assured them of dragging them out of poverty. In his Public speech after the distribution of the documents, Jagan stated that the CRDA region of Amaravati belongs to not one section or caste but to everyone in the state so that the region becomes home to the people of AP. He accused that there are some elements in the Opposition parties who are trying to stop his efforts of developing Amaravati for the poor and named them as anti-poor. Reiterating that YSRCP Government is pro-poor and he would do everything he could to uplift the poor sections of the AP. All in all, the CM has decided to use CRDA lands for the construction of houses rather than building a world-class capital.
Meanwhile, the farmers of Amaravati express their distress by stating that they have sacrificed their invaluable fertile lands just for the sake of capital and now the CM was misusing those lands for his election stunts. What’s interesting is that Jagan still failed to declare Amaravati as the capital or one of the three capitals in his speech.
