All parties warming up for the general polls: Interesting insights

Monday, April 28, 2025

Right from this year’s end, the elections of various states that set the stage for the final Parliament elections of 2024 shall commence and all the major and minor parties in the nation are getting into action. A look at the current political scenario of India explains everything.

The biggest party in India as of now, the BJP is all set to regain power in 2024 with the help of its allies and friends. The party which got a majority in 2019 however felt the heat since the results of Karnataka gave a huge kick to the heads of the saffron party. Contrary to their confidence, the underdog Congress won and gave a comeback in the last decade. This might not be a big deal for BJP but the upcoming elections of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana at this year’s end will surely have an impact. BJP is still confident of winning Rajasthan but if it loses in MP and Chattisgarh, the morale of the ruling party shall be disturbed. On the flip side, every other small win is an achievement for Congress and it would indirectly influence the voters who are neutral.

Coming to the two Telugu states, parties like BRS and YSRCP which are in power now have understood that freebies and vote for note won’t fetch them power and they started working hard. The opposition parties like Congress and BJP are giving a tough fight for the BRS in Telangana and needless to say, the growing vote bank of Janasena which is all set to join hands with the age-old party TDP is the biggest threat to Jagan in AP.
